We understand there is no place like home. Before you leave, we’ll make sure that you have everything you need.
Upon discharge, our team will provide you with thorough instructions tailored to your individual needs. From medication management to post-operative care, we aim to empower you with the knowledge and resources necessary for a seamless transition back to your daily routine. Should you have any questions or concerns post-discharge, let your care team know and they will address any concerns you may have.
Arranging for a ride home after same-day surgery is crucial for your safety and comfort. While the procedure may be minor, the effects of anesthesia and any medications administered can impair your ability to drive safely.
Whether you’ve undergone a minor procedure or a more complex surgery, our team will ensure you have all the necessary post-operative instructions and resources for a smooth recovery at home.
If your doctor prescribes new medications that are not currently taking, you will receive a prescription to take to the pharmacy of your choice.
Rice Community Hospital does not have a pharmacy—for your convenience, we partner with the Lyons and Sterling Pharmacy and can fill your discharge prescription.
Lyons Pharmacy | M-F 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Sat. 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Sterling Pharmacy | M-F 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
