As part of our ongoing efforts to improve your experience with Rice Community Health, we recently transitioned to a new statement provider. This change was made with the goal of making billing more efficient and user-friendly for our patients. Unfortunately, during the initial rollout, an error occurred that resulted in some incorrect statements being printed and mailed.
These statements may contain inaccurate balances or information that doesn’t reflect your actual account. If you happen to receive one of these statements—possibly as soon as tomorrow—we ask that you please disregard it.
What We’re Doing to Fix It
To correct the issue and minimize any inconvenience:

Corrected statements are already being processed and will be mailed to affected patients in the coming days.

Each corrected statement will include a cover letter clearly explaining the situation, so you’ll know exactly what to expect and why you’re receiving a second mailing.
- Our billing partner is increasing call center staffing to ensure your questions are answered quickly.

We’ve communicated with our front office and clinical teams so they’re ready to support any patient inquiries.

A consistent message is being shared on social media to keep the community informed and reduce confusion.
What This Means for You
Your actual account balance in our system has not been affected, and your information remains accurate and secure. There is no need to take action or make any payment based on the incorrect statement. You’ll simply receive a corrected one soon.

While this wasn’t the smooth start we hoped for, this new partnership was chosen to streamline billing and improve communication in the long term. We believe it will ultimately enhance your experience.
